How to Resize the Resources?

This guide will walk you through the process of resize the resources for instance.


To resize the resources. Firstly, the user must create the instance in the GBCloud.


  1. From the left sidebar, navigate to the Instances tab, and select the instance that you want to resize the resources.


  1. Click on the Resize icon on the right side of the page to adjust the instance resources. The information shows the instance details before the resize process.


  1. Select the new Flavor (resource plan) for your instance. Choose your preferred option, then click RESIZE to apply the changes.


Note: Please be aware that instances using local storage do not support downgrade operations due to storage limitations. Only instances using CEPH volume can be downgraded to a lower plan.


  1. A confirmation message will appear in the pop-up window. Click YES to proceed with the resize process.


Warning: The instance will experience temporary downtime during resizing as the system copies the disk image to a new disk. The process duration depends on the disk size.


  1. Click on the Checkmark icon on the right side of the page to proceed with the process.


  1. In the pop-up window, click YES to confirm and proceed with the instance resize.


  1. The information shows the instance details **. **You may refer to the previous details to compare and verify the updated resource specifications.


You have successfully resize the resources.
