How to Create Snapshots?
How does the snapshot function work?
In the GB Cloud Control Panel, you can create snapshots of your instances. These snapshots allow you to restore an instance or create a new one based on the saved state.
Snapshots can also be used to launch new instances with the same or larger disk size than the original. For example, a snapshot from a 50GB instance can be used to create a 70GB instance. However, a snapshot from a 70GB instance cannot be used to create a smaller 50GB instance.
- Login into your Cloud Control Panel

- In the left sidebar, click on the 'Instances' tab, then click on the existing instance in your Cloud Control Panel that you want to create a snapshot of.

- Click on the Snapshot tab, then click the ‘Create Snapshot’ button.

- Enter a name for the snapshot. For this guideline, we’ll use the example: snapshot.gbcloud.dev. Then, click ‘Save’ to complete the creation.

- After creating a snapshot, the status will appear as ‘active’ once it is successfully created.
